It is a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot suitable for newborns, a multi-position forward and rear facing pushchair seat, and a choice of group 0+ car seat, so you can get everything you need in one place.

The XL Air is a really impressive buggy and it's easy to see why it has received such high praise from its customers. It's incredibly light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg and it's super-easy to build. In fact, I was able to get the whole thing up and running in less than five minutes, which is amazing given that it included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a comfortable, wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very easy to operate. The basket is spacious with plenty of space and I like that the handle bar comes with an area to keep your phone and keys secure.

The handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it's encased in a lovely leather-like material that's soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, meaning it's still easy to push even with children and bags on your hands!

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a bit more difficult to navigate than its predecessor and the locking system is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebar is a little higher than some competitors which means it might not suit shorter parents, but overall this is an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that is worth considering for active families.

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features a shorter wheel distance which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two children - one a toddler and another eight-week-old - on rough terrain along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are big in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - so they can cope with all kinds of terrain. The wheels come with an opening that can be shut or opened to let air in when needed. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, yet it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you're pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also a lot quieter than many pushchairs and I felt safe using it on busy city streets. It has built-in accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack trays.
